Winter Prep for Trees and Garden
Winter preparation is one of the most important steps you can take to ensure a healthy and productive garden and orchard next spring. Join us as we walk through the essential steps for preparing your fruit trees, berry plants, and garden beds for the colder months ahead.
In this workshop, we’ll cover the basics of winter pruning, including when and how to prune fruit trees for improved health, structure, and future harvests. You’ll learn how to protect young trees, care for established plants, apply mulch properly, improve soil health, and maintain your orchard and garden throughout the winter season.
We’ll also discuss winter watering, frost protection, seasonal maintenance, and what your plants need while they rest so they can come back strong when spring arrives. Whether you have a backyard orchard, a few fruit trees, or a home garden, you’ll leave with practical knowledge to help your landscape thrive through every season.
