Thank you for choosing Bob Wells Nursery! We typically ship orders within 48 hours of receipt. Please note that we do not hold retail orders. All packages are shipped via FedEx in boxes ranging from two to seven feet in length, and a tracking number will be sent to the email address provided with your order.

Shipping to the following states may experience delays due to required inspections by the USDA, Texas Department of Agriculture, and your local state regulatory agency:
Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.

If your package requires inspection, it will generally ship on our weekly Wednesday schedule.

State Restrictions:

  • California: We are unable to ship persimmon trees.
  • New York & Washington: Grapevine plants cannot be shipped to these states.
  • Oregon: Due to agricultural regulations, plants in containers larger than one gallon cannot be shipped. Trees must be sent bare root with leaves removed. We do not ship tropical plants to Oregon.
  • Citrus: Federal and state laws prohibit us from shipping citrus outside the state of Texas—no exceptions.

We are unable to ship outside the contiguous United States, including Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, and other U.S. territories.

Shipping Details:

  • Most boxes can accommodate up to two fruit trees. Shipping and handling ranges from $44.95 to $49.95, depending on location.
  • Certain items—such as citrus, avocado, tropical, and multi-grafted trees—are limited to one per box to prevent damage.
  • If a tree exceeds the height of a 5-foot box, the top will be pruned. Larger shade and flowering trees may be shipped in 7-foot boxes and pruned as needed. Shipping rates may vary for these larger items.
  • Most berries and small one-gallon plants ship for $24.95, with the same rate applying for up to four plants.
