Tips for Transporting Your Trees

Thank you for your interest in Bob Wells Nursery at Sorelle Farms. Here are some common tips and suggestions that will help make your experience fast and easy.

Cars/SUVs: Come prepared with a tarp or plastic to cover the interior of your car as soil may fall out during transit. Load smaller plants upright on the floorboard. For larger trees, lay down vacant seats and load through the trunk with the branches facing the front.

Open-bed Trucks and Trailers: Load smaller plants upright and against the cab. For taller trees, lay them down with the pot against the cab and the branches resting on the tailgate. Once loaded, come prepared with a strap or twine to secure the pots from moving during transit. It is best to bring a tarp to cover the leaves and shield them from any wind damage. This is especially important on hot and/or dry days.  Tropical plants (avocado, citrus, guava, mango) are typically more susceptible to damage, so it is recommended to place them inside the cab if possible.

We will have staff available to assist in loading upon request.
