Eliot is prized for its delicious, perfectly formed teardrop nuts and for its resistance to scab. Generally, it produces abundant medium-sized nuts in alternate years. This variety is particularly grown in the Southeastern United States. (77 nuts/lb.); The trees can grow as tall as 70 to 100 feet, making them one of the largest pecan tree varieties.
