The Catalpa Tree is a fast growing soft wood tree that looks like a tropical plant. Produces great shade with large heart shaped leaves. Has pink and white blooms. It is very easy to grow, tolerating a large variety of soils. Can grow up to 45 feet tall. Known as the cigar tree because of the bean pods it produces. Able to use this tree to attract bait for fishing. USDA Hardiness Zones 4-8.
