Nearing a pound in size and having a green, thick peel which resists disease quite well, it matures in October and stores well on-tree into January or February. Lula avocado is cold hardy to 27 degrees, although it commonly regrows from below ground. It can be pruned back and kept at around 4-5 feet tall, so that it can be moved in and out easily when growing it in a container.
