DESCRIPTION: Mayhaw grows best in moist, well-drained acidic soils along riverbanks, ponds, swamps. The large, red fruit is used for jellies, preserves and wine. Also used to attract and feed deer and other wildlife. It is grown as a large shrub or tree depending on how it it trimmed.
