The Oregon Champion produces yellowish-green berries that sweeten as they ripen. This gooseberry is easy to grow and tolerates a wide range of soil conditions. Rich in pectin, Oregon Champion berries are ideal for jams and jellies; but they can also be frozen for later use. They can also be eaten fresh, added to pancakes or scones, or dried as raisins.
